Greetings!

Thank you for your interest in this offering I’m creating! Read on to learn what I have in mind…

What: A monthly 60 minute virtual consultation group (likely on a weekday during early afternoon but I will send out a poll soon to everyone who has completed the interest form).

Who: Open to anyone in the healing/helping arts, including yoga teachers, massage therapists, acupuncturists, tarot readers, astrologers, homeopaths, and energy workers.

Intention: To offer an opportunity to learn from one another and from a licensed clinical psychologist, and to offer support and community in what can sometimes be a lonely and stressful line of work, especially in these dense and uncertain times.

Possible topics:

  • Managing burnout and vicarious trauma

  • Responding to challenging client/student situations

  • How to know when a client/student might need additional care

  • Joys and struggles of the business of helping, whether as a contractor, employee, or self-employed

Why I'm offering this: As I went through yoga teacher training, learned energy healing, and got to know many different types of healers, I realized that there often wasn't the same kind of supportive framework in place that I have had as a psychologist. I also want to be able to help more people, and helping helpers helps me do that.

Who am I? My name is Dr. Jo Eckler, and I'm a licensed clinical psychologist with twenty years of experience plus four years of graduate school training in therapy. I've trained new therapists and provided consultation to colleagues for years. I'm also trained as a yoga teacher, an energy worker, and a death & mourning doula, though I am not actively doing as much of that right now. If you'd like to get a sense of me, you can check out my book You Can't Fix Them--Because They're Not Broken: A Sustainability Guide for Tired Helpers and Healers.

Price: Donation-based
